I used to live close to highway 6 and stumbled upon West Houston Auto Repair because I got a flyer in the mail. When my car began to act up, I drove over to this location and was helped out immediately. Since then, I've always kept them in the back of my mind as a place I'd like to go back to if I had any car issues. I really like this auto repair shop because: 1) They're fast - they move with a sense of urgency but not so urgent that work is overlooked. 2) They seem honest/fair - every time I go, I leave feeling as if my money was well spent. 3) They're communicative - When in person, they explain exactly what's wrong with the car and try to tell you about everything they see that could be fixed or working a little better. In addition to this, I get about two texts per month with either a discount on a service or a discount on labor, and sometimes just texts reminding me to do regular maintenance. 4) They're up-to-date with technology - Whenever they perform a diagnostic, or they see anything they would like to bring to your attention, they send you a link that basically has an inspection (with pictures) and lets you know your full vehicle health. In addition to this, they log all of their services so that your Carfax is up to date, and they utilize Repair Pal when they see fit. Most recently, I went because my car was shaking. Turned out that my fuel injector (cylinder 4) was faulty and was causing multiple other issues to occur. Even though I live on the complete other side of town now, I called them, brought my car over, and within the hour they had already ran diagnostics and provided me with feedback on what to do to fix my car and get me back driving safely and comfortably. We discussed the total, I agreed to make the payment, and they only had my car until the end of the day. While I was gone, I even got a call letting me know my Drive Belt had a tear that would gradually get worse and could result in me having issues with my A/C in the future. I opted to get that fixed while they already had my hood open, and luckily, that didn't seem to delay my pick-up one bit. When I arrived to pick it back up, it was already out front and the keys were ready as well. I made my payment, they reminded me of the 3 year/36,000mile warranty on all services (which I will be using if I need to), and then I was good to go. I've been driving my car for the past few days and have had no complaints so far. I'd even like to point out that by me getting this work done - I'm no longer wasting money on gas. Prior to this service (like for the past 6-7 months or more), I had noticed my gas was only getting >299mi. on a full tank, but didn't think much of it. I noticed it had gone down from what I used to be able to get, but didn't think it was a big deal. I filled up yesterday and got ~360mi. and was shocked. I realized I probably had been wasting about 5 gallons of gas on every fill up due to this issue with the fuel injector. They gave me a verbal guarantee of their work and told me to come back in two-weeks for a check up. I'm very satisfied with their work and will be back (but hopefully not soon).
Thank you so much for this review and the opportunity to work on your vehicle
