Erik at West Houston Auto is an incredible manager. I’ve visited and had my car worked on 3 times now and cannot express my appreciation enough. They not only do great work; they care about your experience and issues you are having with your car. The price is way under what the dear shop would charge while getting more personable service. I will continue to use them for all our auto care. Thank you!

Professional, simple, fully staffed

The team here is great and they are very honest. They can do just about anything and will let you know if anything is out of their wheelhouse. They have done everything from motor mounts to brakes, AC and basic maintenance for our vehicles and always deliver first class service. I highly recommend them.

I had a great experience at West Houston Auto Repair and would absolutely recommend them. The person at the front desk was welcoming, kind, and incredibly efficient. He was knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through everything clearly without being pushy. What really stood out was how he noticed something in my car and explained it using an animated video that perfectly matched the recommendation he was making. It made everything so easy to understand, and I genuinely appreciated that transparency. We also discussed that the issue wasn’t at a point where it needed immediate repair, but that it likely would down the road. That honesty was evident not only in our conversation, but also in the animation he showed me and by looking at the car itself. I never felt pressured—just informed. On top of that, I originally went in to have my dust cover fixed because it was coming off, and they took care of it within about 20–30 minutes. Quick, smooth, and hassle-free. Overall, the service was professional, clear, and respectful of my time. It’s refreshing to find an auto repair shop that communicates this well and treats customers this thoughtfully. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Even though the service on my car took a little longer than expected, I really can't complain since it was just a walk-in. Additionally, I was kept informed by the staff about the reason for the delay. Overall, I was satisfied.

Moved into the neighborhood and found these guys on Briar Forest. Couldn't be more pleased. Very professional and courteous......excellent service at a fair price. They now service all my family's vehicles. Give them a try....you won't be disappointed.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I had a very disappointing experience at West Houston Auto Repair (Briar Forest). Communication was poor from start to finish — I had to constantly follow up just to get basic updates. The pricing felt unclear and changed from what was initially discussed, which made me uncomfortable and frustrated. The work took longer than promised, and when I picked up my vehicle, the issue I originally came in for didn’t feel fully resolved. Instead of clear explanations, I was met with vague answers that didn’t inspire confidence. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and stressful. I expected better transparency, better customer service, and more accountability. I would not return and wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest, reliable auto repair.

Almost refused to honor a warranty on a defective part all because I needed other work done. Manager can lie and say they honored the warranty but it wasn’t without an argument. They put a aftermarket part on to begin with when I paid for official parts. Scummy business thank god I noticed. Don’t come here unless you want them to play games when it comes to correcting the work they did horribly. This isn’t the first time they messed up either like all the other reviews my oil wasn’t changed either when I got it done here.
